SOUTH CALDER MISSION COMMUNITY
Situated in west Cumbria, the South Calder Mission Community comprises the parishes of the Seatallan Benefice and those of the Western Lake District Churches Benefice as well as the Methodist Churches of our area. The Mission Community within the borough of Copeland, where the Lake District meets the Irish Sea coastline. It contains England's highest mountain, deepest lake and smallest church.
The Mission Community is ecumenical. The churches of the Mission Community, together with their ACNY (A Church Near You) page, website and Facebook page, where known, are listed here.
The South Calder Mission Community is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and adults, especially those who are vulnerable, and expects all office holders and volunteers to share this commitment.
The Anglican PCCs have adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church; Safeguarding Policy Statement’.
